The Habush Habush & Rottier Charitable Funds are once again donating bicycle helmets to children across Wisconsin this summer.

"The Habush Habush & Rottier Charitable Funds are pleased to team up with police departments and community organizations throughout Wisconsin again this year to help insure that our children have a safe and fun summer," said Robert L. Habush, President of the Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. law firm. Researchers have found that wearing a helmet can reduce the severity of brain injury by as much as 88 percent.

This is the seventh consecutive year that the Habush Habush & Rottier Charitable Funds have distributed helmets to children who do not have a helmet or whose families may not be able to purchase helmets. Since its inception, the Habush Habush & Rottier Charitable Funds have distributed more than 36,500 bicycle helmets to children in Wisconsin.

Most of the helmets are distributed at Bike Safety Rodeos and summer safety programs, where children learn bike safety and practice bicycle safety by riding through obstacle courses designed to teach the young bikers how to react to everyday traffic situations. In addition, many police officers around the state will be distributing the bicycle helmets to neighborhood children while on patrol. In this way the helmet program helps promote positive, open relationships between local authorities and children.

"The Habush Habush & Rottier Charitable Funds were established to allow our law firm to give back to the communities where we practice. The bicycle helmet program is fulfilling that mission – to provide to those in need," said Daniel A. Rottier, Vice President, Habush Habush & Rottier S.C.
